Why study at TU Delft?

The study abroad program at T.U. Delft is an excellent way to experience another culture while studying at one of the World's top engineering schools. Delft combines the intrigue and charm of an old European city (some buildings date back to the thirteenth century) with the expertise and cutting-edge resources of a modern technical institute. Engineering is always becoming a more international enterprise and it is a good idea to get to know what other engineers are learning and doing. It offers a different perspective on aerospace engineering, while still providing an excellent education.

People

You also get to meet some really fantastic people and other students studying abroad from all over the world. Students come from Indonesia, Asia, a variety of African nations, Colombia, and even neighboring European countries. The more you become involved the more people you meet. The international office organizes activities such as a tour of Amsterdam, cultural night, and cheese tasting to mention a few.

The Netherlands

Delft is in a great location for seeing more of The Netherlands. It is right between The Hague and Rotterdam, two of the largest cities in Europe, and is only an hour by train from Amsterdam. It is also near other notable Dutch cities such as Leiden and Utrecht.

Europe

Once you are in the Netherlands you can take advantage of being in Europe and traveling much more than you could in the U.S. There is an extensive train system which you can use to see various countries and cultures. Check out the travel section for travelling advice.
