Exam/Finals Information
From ISU=>TUD
Exams are offered five times a year at TU Delft. Each semester has two sets of exams (after each quarter) and there is a large resit at the end of the summer. Generally you will want to pass your exams the first time, which requires a score of 6/10 or higher. Dutch students will sometimes only take a few of their exams and leave others until later exam period or the resit period in August. Unless you are staying for an extended period of time, this is not possible for you, so take all your exams at the appropriate time.
There are two exam time slots in one day; from 9:00-12noon and from 14:00-17:00. Some exams will take the entire time and some will not. The schedule for the exams are available through WEBBER, just like the class schedules. Choose the class you want to take the exam for and use the tentamen (Dutch for exam) option. To register for the exam, log in to the TAS website. Here you can log in with your NetID and password (same as for e-mail and blackboard). Then search for the classes you wish to register for and follow the directions. Once you have registered the date, time, and location of the exam will be posted under the MyStudentInfo tab on blackboard. The location is not posted right away, so check back often. (NOTE: You must register two weeks before the start of exams.)
For the exam you will need your proof of registration card and, if possible, your campus card. Make sure to bring pens to write with and only things allowed on exams (calculator, rarely notes, etc). Ask the professor if you are not sure. Each student gets an individual desk with plenty of room. Usually the exam has room for your answers or a separate answer sheet and plenty of scratch paper is also provided. Show up on time for the exam, preferably 10-15 minutes earlier (especially if you are unsure where the building and room is). You can take something to drink with you.
